This week marks 3 years since we opened our doors and began our journey in serving the Tampa community—and what an amazing journey it has been! From hearing tests and hearing aid fittings to supporting patients on their hearing health journeys, we’ve had the honor of making a difference in so many lives.

We are deeply grateful for the trust our patients have placed in us, the support of our community, and the continued passion that drives our team each day.

Here’s to better hearing, stronger connections, and many more years of dedicated care!

**HURRICANE HELENE UPDATE**

** Please share with friends and family even if they didn’t purchase their hearing aids from Parkside Audiology. We will work with most all hearing aids**

Like you, the staff of Parkside Audiology lives, works and plays in South Tampa.
Thankfully our homes and office were spared from the devastating floods from Hurricane Helene. Unfortunately, some of our neighbors and dearest friends cannot say the same.

Parkside Audiology is here to help however we can. If you or anyone you know suffered loss of their hearing aids or charger during the storm please contact our office ASAP

Likely there is a warranty on your hearing aids which will cover a replacement. Parkside Audiology will work on your behalf to have the deductible waived that is typically applied when a hearing aid is lost.
At a time such as this the last thing we want you worrying about is your hearing aids, especially when important conversations are at hand.

Our motto is “The Best Conversations are Heard Side by Side” But you know what else is best side by side?

Added a new medal today . Crowds were amazing. 26.2 miles of nonstop cheering and support. So loud my watch alerted me several times it could be dangerous to my hearing. One of the few times you will ever hear me say “the risk is worth it” . Thank you for an amazing race.

USF in the house !!!! 💚 USF is making headlines again with this ground breaking research. As an “experienced” audiologist I have always known this headline to be true but now we have research to back us up. Hearing aids slow cognitive decline for those with hearing loss .

Let me say that again for those in the back (or for those not wearing hearing aids) - HEARING AIDS SLOW COGNITIVE DECLINE. Untreated hearing loss can potentially speed that decline up 3-5x.

I am posting this on my personal page first because I want to make sure my friends are sharing this information with their parents and other family members. As the people we love the most become “of age” don’t ignore a mild hearing loss. You all have my cell or can send me a DM if you have questions. This is just too important to not share. 🦻❤️🦻❤️🦻❤️🦻.

This was a fun appointment. A patient showed up on my schedule Parkside Audiologywith a name I recognized. At first I thought it was a patient from a few years ago, but then at the appointment she reminded me she was actually a patient of mine from the ENT group I worked with over 10 years ago. Turns out I fit her with these very hearing aids in 2006 - to give reference, I would have been out of school for 1 year, engaged to Scott and without children. The patient reminded me that at the time she was still working and needed top of the line aids for environment but couldn't quite afford them. She said "You found a way through the state of Florida for me to get the top of the line aids with all the bells and whistles for no cost". It was clear to me that 17 years later how thankful she was. At this appointment I retested her hearing, demo'd new hearing aids and we placed an order to finally upgrade these work horses. Whenever I am in doubt I am doing exactly what I am meant to be doing these little "WHY" moments present themselves. I am so thankful for my patients. 🦻❤️🦻❤️

This is our "WHY". The picture below is not of new technology. In fact is is rather dated - 2006 to be exact. A long time patient of Dr. Decelles' came in to see her after finding out she recently opened a private practice and was back in Tampa. This patient was happy to be back with Dr. Decelles as she is still wearing the same hearing aids Dr. Decelles fit for her 17 years ago and is finally ready for an upgrade. Hugs and excitement were shared. What is your "WHY"? .

I read all the time. I tell my kids it’s like watching a movie in your brain. They haven’t fallen in love with reading quite yet but I hope something captivates them like did for me when I was a kid. As an adult I read books that not only feed my heart but books that feed my brain to become a better wife, mother and professional. I rarely read hard/paperback books but more so and . I just finished which was amazing and highly recommend. Here is a pic of a few books in my office - two of these are so good I have the audible, kindle and hardback versions. Can you guess which two?
