This Giving Tuesday, extend a helping hand to supporting your local food system and donating to The Garden Kitchen PLAZA (Promoting Local Arizona Agriculture) Mobile Market.

We purchase local foods from various small farmers many of which are refugees and women through the program through the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and . We are also blessed to have an amazing partnership with who helps us bring the food staple of bread and flour to our markets!

Due to federal funding cuts we have lost the security to keep the program going. We are hoping to raise $2,250 this month to help us continue the program through December as we continue to search for funding!

Today, we are asking for your support after a devastating cut to our SNAP-Ed funding. Our mission at the Garden Kitchen is to promote long-term, positive health outcomes through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that true wellbeing includes both physical and mental health, and that our communities hold tremendous knowledge, resilience, and strength through cultural and ancestral traditions.

The continuation of this work is critical. Without programs like ours, many low-income families face increased risk of lowered food security, especially as many are also faced with an interruption in SNAP benefits.

Any gift, large or small, makes a meaningful impact. We have included a QR code on these slides and the donation link in our Linktree. Sharing is also an incredible way to make a difference!
