It truly takes a team! Mom and baby rocked pre and post op therapy working on oral function for breast and bottle. Baby Noah still has some things to work on but she is rocking the bottle. Although Noah and mom worked hard getting back to breast it just wasn’t happening and wasn’t coming easy for Noah. Mom accepted this feeding journey knowing it was what’s best for her child. As a feeding therapist I fully support the feeding dyad and do my best to help anyway I can. Mom and Noah are a great team and in the end everyone is smiling and happy with outcomes.

I was diagnosed with upper airway resistance syndrome a couple years ago, mouth breathing a lot more at night now, TMJD was worsening, and my tongue definitely can never ever fit into my palate . All due to extraction orthodontics paired with a lip bumper and head gear. Now is the time to take charge of my airway and oral stability !

A feeding day at Myo Speech looks like:
-2 month old working on bottle acceptance -4 year old addressing oral sensory skills and oral motor skills with food trials by mouth during tube feeding - 9month old working on oral function to manage solids and drink from straws and open cups. It’s a great day to eat, no matter how you do it. ❤️

I am excited to run the Falmouth Road Race for Dougies Team and raise money for Raising Harts. Raising Harts is an amazing supporter for families with Autistic and neurodiverse children.
