DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN?!

This month, Rick guided our residents in making their own snowmen. They stuffed fuzzy socks with rice and lavender and adorned their snowmen with scarves and hats. Everyone was laughing and smiling about who they were giving their snowmen to as a gift or where they’re going to place them in their apartments. The perfect craft for a snowy January afternoon and it smells great. Rick has outdone himself AGAIN!

Everyday, Larry builds a fire for our residents making the atmosphere of our community center cozy and relaxing. Sometimes you’ll find up to ten people sitting by the fireplace reading or enjoying a nice conversation with friends. It’s small personal touches like these that truly make Thirwood Place feel like home.

Never fear… our amazing maintenance team is here! Our maintenance team has been working around the clock to ensure the Thirwood grounds are safe for our residents. When you live at Thirwood Place there’s no need to worry about snow removal ever again! Our resident are cozy and warm inside.

THE SNOW IS COMING!🌨❄☃

You’ve probably heard about the potential for a BIG snowstorm impacting Cape Cod later this weekend! ❄️❄️☃️☃️

Here at Thirwood Place – our residents aren’t worried at all! 😃

Because they live at Cape Cod’s premier senior living community – where WE take care of everything for them – all the shoveling, plowing and more is no longer their worry – They’ll be enjoying the warmth and comfort of Thirwood Place – and can watch the snow fall from INSIDE at one of our beautiful lobby areas or their own apartment.

What they WON’T be doing is going outside to clear any snow or ice…the only ice inside will be in their drinks!

WHOI CAME TO THIRWOOD TODAY!

Today, Colin Reed from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute came to Thirwood Place for a very informative and engaging presentation. Our residents were amazed to see the kind of work done by the researchers there. They are already requesting another WHOI presentation!

A huge thank you to Cape Cod Healthcare and Coxswain Media for coming to Thirwood Place for another Yarmouth Community Blood Drive. It’s always inspiring to see people donate and give back to their community.
