Last weekend, I had the opportunity to speak alongside my friend and colleague, Alexa, Therapist from at a local Pilates studio , where we led a conversation about **nutrition, body image, and the influences that shape how we feel in our skin.** 🧘♀
In my part of the talk, we explored how diet culture, media messaging, quick fixes, and even the outside influences we’ve absorbed over time—from social media, wellness trends, and casual conversations— can quietly shape our relationship with food. 🤯
From “good” vs “bad” foods, to guilt when eating carbs, to skipping meals because of fear—not facts—we unpacked the real emotional weight behind the way we eat. 🥐
💭 Does what you’ve been told about nutrition make you feel empowered… or anxious? Seen… or judged?
My goal wasn’t to hand out more food rules, but to help people pause and get curious:
✨ Is this thought coming from care—or from fear?
✨ What would it feel like to nourish my body without guilt?
✨ Can I make peace with food, and treat my body with respect—even when it’s still a work in progress??
We deserve to eat with ease. And we deserve to feel safe in our bodies. 💛
