Today marks 24 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. On that devastating day, and in the difficult weeks and months that followed, New Yorkers and Americans as a whole showed an incredible spirit of bravery, compassion, and unity that was instrumental in our collective recovery.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum honors every victim’s life and recognizes the selfless courage of the first responders, recovery workers, and volunteers who rushed to help on that horrific day. Its mission – never forget – is one that many of us carry deep in our hearts. And it is a mission that grows more important with each passing year, as a new generation grows up with no memory of 9/11.
