I’m so done trying to be skinny.
I want to be strong instead.
Because “skinny” never promised me:
✔️ A faster metabolism
✔️ Strong bones
✔️ Stable blood sugar
✔️ Confidence that doesn’t disappear after a meal
But strength does.
After 40, we can lose up to 10% of muscle per decade if we don’t train it.
That’s not just about looks — that’s your metabolism, your hormones, your independence.
Estrogen declines → body fat shifts (hello belly)
Muscle drops → metabolism slows
Insulin sensitivity decreases → weight gets harder to manage
So no… I’m not chasing smaller anymore.
I’m building the one thing that changes ALL of that:
muscle.
Because muscle:
🔥 Increases metabolic rate (you burn more at rest)
🦴 Improves bone density (goodbye fragile era)
🩸 Improves insulin sensitivity (hello stable energy)
🧠 Supports mood + reduces hot flashes
💪 Is directly linked to longevity
Read that again.
This isn’t about getting “bulky.”
This is about becoming hard to break.
So if I look a little “bigger”?
Good. It’s called being built.
If I weigh more?
Good. It’s called having muscle.
If I take up more space?
Even better. I earned it.
Skinny use to be the goal.
Now Strong is.
