Founded in 2001, DFCPTC began as a small family counseling center in north Mississippi. Over the years, we have recognized a need for additional services. DFCPTC is an incredible group of therapists and counselors who are a part of an established private practice, helping individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years. DFCPTC has grown from one counseling therapist to over 24 full-time and part-time LPCs, LCSWs, PMHNPs, PAs, OTs, PTs, and SLPs. We offer speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medication management, and counseling services.

Join us for a day of wellness and connection at Community Mental Health Day! The event will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Desoto Family Counseling and Pediatric Therapy Center Parking lot. This family-friendly event promotes self-care and rejuvenation for the mind, soul, and body. Our activities will include rock painting, nature and art-focused activities, flower bouquets, bounce houses, animals from the humane society, coffee/food trucks, and more! No tricks here...just treats!! Desoto Family Counseling Center would like to invite you to our annual Trunk or Treat this upcoming Friday, Oct. 24th, at our Desoto Family Center parking lot (8626 Airways Blvd Southaven, MS 38671)! This is a free family-friendly event that will offer sensory-friendly trick or treating and activities. In addition to getting loads of candy and prizes, we will also be offering face painting, meet and greets with the police and fire department, and a bouncy house. Stamars Food Truck will be offering up Spook-tacular treats for your family to purchase for dinner! Don’t miss out on this awesome community event. Don’t forget to invite your friends, family, neighbors, ghouls, and goblins! Costumes encouraged but not required. See you Friday from 5-7 pm!
