With a big winter storm expected, we want to remind families of Moore Pediatric Therapy’s inclement weather policy for everyone’s safety.

📍 Southaven Office: We will follow DeSoto County School District for closures and delays.
📍 Oxford Office: We will follow Oxford School District for closures and delays.

If schools are closed, our clinic will be closed as well. We will share updates on our social media pages and contact families directly if appointments are affected.

Comprehension is more than just answering questions. It is showing understanding in meaningful ways.

In speech therapy, we explored the story “Sneezy the Snowman” using a sensory foam snowman kit. By acting out the events, sequencing the story, and retelling it through play, children were able to demonstrate their understanding in a hands on and engaging way.

This is especially helpful for children who learn best through movement, visuals, and sensory experiences. At Moore Pediatric Therapy, we love using creative approaches that make learning fun while still targeting important language skills.
