Baptist DeSoto Women’s Center, located at 363 Southcrest Parkway, will be closed on January 26 and 27. A team member will reach out to those patients who have an appointment for a mammogram, bone density screening or breast ultrasound on these days to reschedule.

Baptist DeSoto and the DAISY Foundation love to recognize nurses for the extraordinary compassionate, skillful care they provide patients and families. By honoring compassionate nurses, DAISY reinforces the importance of compassion in healthcare. Baptist Desoto presented the DAISY Award to Kayla Guerro, registered nurse on our ICU Stepdown unit, for her exceptional patient care, attention to needs and empathy shown to her patients. Kayla has been part of the Baptist team for eight years and we are proud to have her at Baptist DeSoto! !

Baptist DeSoto had the honor of recognizing Janet Caldwell, Labor & Delivery nurse, as our Service First Champion at her retirement reception yesterday. Janet not only provides exceptional care to her patients but she shows kindness, empathy and love. She is a wealth of knowledge and has mentored many nurses throughout her nursing career at Baptist DeSoto. Congratulations on 37 years of service at Baptist DeSoto and for exhibiting Service First each and every day.

Baptist DeSoto has been recognized by The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association for excellence in stroke care. Our coordinated team of neurologists,neurosurgeons, stroke-trained nurses, radiology specialists, pharmacists, and rehabilitation therapists work together to quickly assess symptoms, perform advanced
imaging, and begin appropriate treatment. We are excited to expand our stroke coverage with excellent providers led by Dr. Violiza Inoa.

🎁 Giving back to our community is our love language!

Baptist DeSoto teamed up with the DeSoto County Department of Child Protection Services to "adopt" a record 79 children for Christmas. 🎄 The Baptist DeSoto Worship Choir joined the presentation and led those present in singing Christmas carols around the hospital's Christmas tree.
