Counseling at Journey To New Beginnings helps children, adolescents and adults reach the happiness and success they deserve and desire. We use a direct, caring and upfront approach. There are seven therapists and one psychiatric nurse practitioner in the practice allowing a confidential, safe and relaxed atmosphere. At Journey To New Beginnings our mission is to assist individuals, couples and families in transforming their lives and creating new beginnings. We work with children, adolescents and adults using cognitive behavioral therapy focusing on thoughts, feelings and behaviors, solution focused therapy focusing on solutions to crisis or issues affecting the client's life, and reality therapy focusing on the realities of daily life and stressors. All therapist are trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). It is strongly recommended that families/guardians of adolescents receiving therapy participate in family therapy. We work with parents on parenting skills and developing behavior modification programs. We prefer to work with the child/adolescent and family to allow everyone to develop a support system and to be striving to reach the same goal. Services Offered:
