The Gentiva Hospice Southaven team was thrilled to provide muffins and juice for the Culpepper Place residents' Memory Lane activity. It was so much fun to listen as the residents reminisced and shared amazing stories about the "good ole days." There’s nothing quite like hearing history straight from the source!

Superheroes Against Hunger Mission Accomplished!

Our Gentiva Hospice Southaven team and community fully embraced the spirit of "Superheroes Against Hunger", and together, we managed to collect a monumental 1,067 POUNDS of food!

This incredible haul was donated to our amazing partners at Samaritans to help families right here in our community. Every single can, box, and pound donated makes a real difference, and you—our neighbors, friends, and staff—are the true heroes.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for showing up and showing out. Your generosity will fuel hope, one meal at a time.

A Spooktacular Kick-Off to October!

Our incredible team at Gentiva Hospice Southaven got the month started with a little extra spirit!

We treated our amazing staff to a spooktacular breakfast buffet to fuel them up for a busy day of providing compassionate care. Plus, they all grabbed a snack pack full of goodies to keep them energized throughout their shift.

We know the work they do is demanding, and we are so grateful for their dedication to our patients. Happy October to our healthcare heroes!

Superheroes Against Hunger Shout Out!

A HUGE, heroic shout-out and THANK YOU to our incredible friends at Kroger #453 (at Interstate Blvd in Horn Lake) for joining the fight against hunger!

The Gentiva Hospice Southaven branch is absolutely thrilled by your generosity! Kroger swooped in like a true superhero and donated an astounding 254 pounds of food for our "Superheroes Against Hunger" food drive!

That massive contribution didn't just sit on a shelf! It was immediately put to work by Samaritans to help create 100 Thanksgiving boxes for residents right here in Horn Lake and Southaven.

Thank you, Kroger, for being a powerful force for good! Together, we're proving that even the biggest challenges can be overcome when we team up to support our neighbors.

What a ballgame! Gentiva Hospice Southaven had the best time at Culpepper Place in Olive Branch watching the residents play a little beanbag baseball. We saw some big hits, a few strikeouts, plenty of base running, and heard the loudest cheers from their teammates in the dugout. Let me tell you—these residents can MOVE!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and brought so much energy to the game. We can’t wait for a rematch soon!

Addie Carmon, Gentiva's volunteer coordinator, had the incredible privilege of playing Bingo with the amazing residents at Great Oaks in Byhalia.

The energy, the smiles, and the laughter were absolutely contagious! This crew really knows how to have a good time, and their joyful spirits brightened everyone's day.

A huge thank you to Great Oaks for having Addie, and to all the wonderful residents for making it such a memorable afternoon! We can't wait to play again soon!

Birthday Fun at The Pinnacle of Southaven!

Our Gentiva Hospice Southaven team had a wonderful time celebrating September birthdays at The Pinnacle of Southaven! CNA, Laterika Martin, and Volunteer Coordinator, Addie Carmon, brought the joy with delicious cake (some went straight for the icing—yum!) and a lively round of Let’s Chat, where we enjoyed the residents’ wonderful stories and memories.

We loved sharing in the laughter, smiles, and sweet moments that made this celebration special. And the fun isn’t stopping—we can’t wait to be back for October’s birthday celebration!

At Gentiva, it’s all about creating moments that matter.
