📜🌿 The first paper in history was made from h**p. Two thousand years later, we're still mostly using trees.

One acre of h**p can produce as much paper as four acres of forest - and it does so in 3-4 months instead of 20-80 years. The difference comes down to chemistry.
H**p contains up to 85% cellulose, the structural compound that becomes paper pulp.

Trees contain only 30-45%. H**p also has far less lignin - the compound that must be chemically stripped away before fibers become paper. Less lignin means fewer toxic chemicals, less bleaching, and cleaner runoff.

The fibers themselves are four to five times longer than wood pulp, producing paper with greater tear resistance and tensile strength. H**p paper can be recycled up to 8 times vs. 3 for wood-based paper. It doesn't yellow or decompose with age.

MYTH:
H**p in livestock diets will reduce productivity.

FACT:
In a controlled goat feeding study, animals fed h**p hay actually produced more milk compared to goats fed traditional alfalfa hay.

Milk composition stayed stable, but the fatty acid profile shifted toward more beneficial fats.

Science is starting to explore what h**p-based feed ingredients could mean for livestock nutrition.
