Our team of doctors and eye care staff are here to care for all of your vision needs. Vision Care Specialists is a primary and specialty care Optometry office.

We handle everything from adult and children’s eye exams and hard-to-fit contact lenses, to eye emergencies, treatment of eye diseases and co-management of eye surgery. In addition to routine and medical eye care, we offer specialties in Behavioral and Developmental optometry, Orthokeratology and Corneal Refractive Therapy, and Vision-Related Learning Problems. We have a full service optical dispensary and fit all types of contact lenses including specialty fits.

What Does 20/20 Vision Actually Mean?
Spoiler: It’s not superhero vision — it’s normal vision!

Think of it like this:

If you have 20/20 vision, it means you can see at 20 feet what a person with “normal” vision should see at 20 feet.
So if there's a sign 20 feet away, and you can read it clearly, congrats! That’s 20/20.

But if you have 20/40 vision, you'd need to be 20 feet away to see what others can see clearly from 40 feet.
(Translation: You might need a little help from glasses or contacts.)
