Happy National CBD Day 🍃

The therapeutic use of c@nnabis dates back to 2737 BC in China, where Emperor Cheng Neng brewed the first tea to treat ailments like gout and malaria. Queen Victoria reportedly used it for menstrual cramps.

In 1839, William B. O’Shaughnessy highlighted its medicinal potential, but it wasn't until the 20th century that CBD was isolated by chemist Roger Adams. Dr. Raphael Mechoulam later identified its structure, earning the title "Godfather of C@nnabis Research."

Unlike TeaHC, CBD is non-intoxicating and is used for its therapeutic benefits, such as reducing anxiety and insomnia.

What is National Purple Heart Day? 💜

George Washington awarded the first Purple Heart, originally called the Badge of Merit, to Soldiers in the Continental Army. Only three were given during his time.

General Douglas MacArthur received the first modern Purple Heart in WWII. Since then, around 1.8 million have been awarded. The Military Order of the Purple Heart, formed in 1932, is the only organization for combat-wounded Veterans.

The Purple Heart Foundation, established in 1957, supports wounded Veterans. Purple Heart Day, part of Purple Heart Month, began in 2014 to honor troops' bravery and raise awareness of war's impact on Veterans and their families.

On August 7th, we recognize the need for support and resources for Veterans post-service and remind us of the sacrifices made for our freedoms.
