There’s nothing more frustrating than eating “healthy” and still feeling bloated

If you want your gut to stop reacting to everything you eat, this is the approach I’d recommend to every woman trying to heal her digestion

Most people jump straight to high fiber → this overwhelms the gut

A sensitive gut needs time to adapt

Slowly increasing fiber helps reduce bloating + improve digestion

Simple fiber foods to start adding in:

It’s honestly one of the most strategic (and delicious) ways to support your iron levels…

You’ll go from doing all the iron things with no movement in ferritin to actually supporting the root cause.

As a functional medicine NP, I will always recommend looking beyond iron alone. Your body needs the right cofactors—copper, zinc balance, ceruloplasmin, and retinol (vitamin A)—to properly recycle and utilize iron.

When even one of these is off, it can be really hard to raise ferritin… no matter how much iron you take.

And here’s what I’m seeing a lot lately 👇�
After cold season + higher dose zinc supplementation, copper levels can get depleted… which then impacts ceruloplasmin and iron recycling.

Full transparency—my copper levels are currently low, so I’m actively working on increasing them too.

This is where simple strategies matter:�
A Medjool date + sun butter + dark chocolate = a quick, satisfying treat that can provide ~95% of your daily copper needs 🙌

(And yes—there are definitely better sunflower butter brands out there without added sugar 😂 this is just what my store had… and the chocolate is one my husband brought me back from Germany 🇩🇪)

This has to be one of the most effective hormone testing shifts I’ve made in my practice…

And I’m hoping this helps all the women out there who feel like they’re guessing what’s going on with their hormones month to month.

Don’t get me wrong—I still love the DUTCH test for certain things. It’s incredibly helpful for looking at estrogen metabolism pathways and getting a cortisol curve.

But here’s the thing… we can often learn a lot about cortisol just from symptoms and patterns.

What we can’t get from DUTCH?�
A full month of real-time hormone data.
