This Yin Yoga Continuing Education training is designed to deepen teachers’ understanding of the history, purpose, and methodology of Yin Yoga, while building the skills needed to confidently and safely offer yin classes.
Through both discussion and experiential practice, teachers will explore the philosophical and energetic foundations of yin, including the concept of yin and yang, and how yin yoga supports the body, mind, and nervous system. Emphasis will be placed on skillful sequencing, intentional use of time, and creating a supportive environment that allows students to experience the deeper benefits of a yin practice.
Teachers will learn how yin postures influence the body’s energetic channels, known as meridians, and how to apply this understanding within a physical practice. The training will also focus on clear teaching methodology, effective use of props, and holding space in a way that encourages presence, safety, and inner awareness.
