SAMA is rooting into grounding & gratitude for the rest of the year!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE?

Practicing gratitude means intentionally noticing and appreciating the good—both big and small—in your daily life. It’s less about forcing positivity and more about shifting your awareness toward what’s already supporting, sustaining, or nourishing you.

Here’s how you can do this IRL:

💫Pause to notice simple things — your breath, your warm mug, sunlight through the window.

💫Express thanks — tell someone you appreciate them, or silently acknowledge their kindness.

💫Reframe challenges — find lessons or moments of growth, even in difficulty.

💫Reflect regularly — journal or mentally list what you’re thankful for each day.

In essence, gratitude is a grounding practice.
It roots you in the present moment and softens the rush of “what’s next.” Over time, it shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful — helping you feel more content, connected, and at ease.

Yoga Teacher Training weekend number 2️⃣ in the books!!! 💫 We worked the foundation of Vinyasa, learning how to effectively move with our breath and dissected Sun Salutation A & B. Think yoga is all about flexibility? Trust …it’s much deeper than that!

True …yoga works inside the physical aspects but the mental challenge is a bit different. A lot of other modalities encourage you to go beyond your limits, harder, faster, deeper. But mic 🎤 ⬇️ ….true yoga invites something different.

It ask us to tune in, listen to our inner teacher and find our EDGE…not our LIMIT.

In yoga… growth doesn’t come from pushing past your edge — it comes from meeting it with patience, curiosity, and compassion.

It’s that sacred space where challenge meets awareness. It’s the point where you feel sensation, presence, and growth — but not pain, force, or strain.

Learning to recognize your edge is part of the deeper practice. It asks you to listen, breathe, and honor where you are today — not where you were yesterday, or where you wish you could be.

Will yoga make you more flexible? Sure. But also….it will teach you to really tune in and listen instead of force and soften instead of prove. ✨💫

We spend the majority of our time in “go mode,” pushing, doing, and striving. But the body and mind aren’t built to stay there forever. Eventually, something burns out — energy, focus, patience, or health.

Committing to practices that balance the nervous system isn’t a luxury; it’s essential.
