Thinking about losing your entire team?
Here are a few tips and tricks to get you started.
If your goal is to lose credibility, frustrate people, and quietly drain trust from the room, hereโs a pretty effective formula:
โข Show up late or do not show up at all
โข Be distracted or at least look distracted
โข Avoid eye contact like it is part of the plan
โข Be disingenuous
โข Gossip instead of leading
โข Hold meetings where nothing gets accomplished
โข Be overtly dismissive of feedback
โข Do not follow up
โข Take credit and give none
โข Make sure expectations are never clear
It is a surprisingly effective playbook if your end goal is confusion, misalignment, and a team that no longer wants to follow you anywhere.
Leadership is not just about making decisions. It is about how those decisions are communicated, owned, and followed through.
People remember how you handled the moment.
