📚We are always learning at MetroEHS! Recently our fulltime clinicians learned all about Interoception.
Interoception is your child’s ability to feel what’s happening inside their body—like hunger, thirst, or a fast heartbeat—and respond to it. Helping kids tune in can boost self-awareness, emotional regulation, and everyday independence!
💥Therapists help kids notice what’s happening inside their bodies—like hunger, a fast heartbeat, or tiredness—and teach fun ways to respond. Think mindful games, movement, and little check-ins that turn “I don’t know” into “I got this!”
A SUPER shout-out to Jessica Hunt and Kaitlyn Stempien for presenting on interoception so all our MetroEHS therapists can be even more capable of revealing the SUPER in every child!
