عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ تَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمْرُكَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهْيُكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِرْشَادُكَ الرَّجُلَ فِي أَرْضِ الضَّلَالِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَصَرُكَ لِلرَّجُلِ الرَّدِيءِ الْبَصَرِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِمَاطَتُكَ الْحَجَرَ وَالشَّوْكَةَ وَالْعَظْمَ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِفْرَاغُكَ مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي دَلْوِ أَخِيكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ...
سیدنا ابو ذر رضي الله تعالیٰ عنه سے روایت ہے کہ رسول الله صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اپنے بھائی کے سامنے تمہارا مسکرا دینا تمہارے لئے صدقہ ہے، تمہارا بھلائی کا حکم کرنا اور برائی سے روکنا صدقہ ہے، کسی بھٹک جانے والے مقام پر کسی شخص کو تمہارا راستے کی رہنمائی کر دینا تمہارے لئے صدقہ ہے، نابینا اور کم دیکھنے والے آدمی کو راستہ دکھانا تمہارے لئے صدقہ ہے، پتھر، کانٹا اور ہڈی کو راستے سے ہٹا دینا تمہارے لئے صدقہ ہے، اپنے ڈول سے اپنے بھائی کے ڈول میں تمہارا پانی انڈیل دینا بھی تمہارے لئے صدقہ ہے۔
