In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the ear is considered the “opening orifice” of the Kidney meridian, meaning kidney essence (Jing) nourishes the ear, linking kidney health to hearing and vitality; an acupoint for the Kidney meridian is located on the antihelix (the ridge leading up the ear), tucked just below the Shen Men point, used to build deep reserves, while ear imbalances can signal kidney deficiency, often presenting as tinnitus or hearing issues.

Reverse Shen Men⭐️
In ear acupuncture, the “Shen Men” (Spirit Gate) is a major point for calming the mind, reducing anxiety, and improving sleep. The “reverse Shen Men” or “AE Drain” point is a different acupuncture point used to help release the accumulation of negative emotions from the Zang organs, effectively reversing emotional holding patterns that interfere with a healthy spirit.
Balancing: A healthy Shen involves balance; the “reverse” of this might be seen as a disturbed or imbalanced Shen, leading to symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, palpitations, and restlessness.
