MIUCP Charity Hockey Event In the past 23 years, we have raised nearly $640,000. All proceeds from this charity event will be used to assist people with disabilities and their families.

All proceeds from this event go to MI-UCP (Michigan United Cerebral Palsy) where our mission is to Close the Disability Divide. 2022 UCP Red Wing Alumni Charity Hockey Game

Since the event began, we have raised more than $500,000. MI-UCP (formerly UCP/Detroit) is a local non-profit advocacy organization representing the needs of the 1.4 million Michiganders with disabilities. The Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association, which is the oldest such organization in the NHL, now plays around 30 games a year to the benefit of worthy charities. The alumni roster includes such names as John Ogrodnick, Darren McCarty, Todd Bertuzzi, Dino Ciccarelli Dennis Hextall, Joe Kocur, Craig Wolanan, Pat Peake, Eddie Mio and Mickey Redmond.

For the past 20 years, a group of local hockey players of varying skill levels team up each year as the UCP Pucksters and take on the The Detroit Red Wing Alumni. The game benefits MI-UCP and the 1.4 Michiganders with disabilities.
