Kids are amazing and can grow out of most issues but if you notice the foot turning in excessively then it may need to be casted until it is straight. The picture below is a patient that was casted for metatarsus adductus at 2 years old with plaster for 8 weeks. Patient was then able to fit in a regular shoe and will be monitored with orthotics. This was done to avoid surgery later in life.

A fracture does not always need surgery but if the bone is displaced then it needs to be placed in proper alignment. If it is not fixed in the first 8 hours then you may have to wait two weeks for the swelling to go down before it can be repaired

Achilles tendinitis can be very painful. There are many conservative treatments such as orthotics, heel lifts, steroid injections, physical therapy. If unable to obtain pain relief with conservative treatment new minimally invasive techniques can be an option to remove the spur and obtain pain relief.

Gout is the lack of control of the body to control uric acid and can build up tophi crystals from the uric acid. The removal of tophi can be performed through medication such as krystexxa or surgically.
