What is EGL?
Equine Guided Learning (EGL) is an exciting and engaging way to interact with horses to learn more about ourselves.
Horses are arguably one of the most successful species to survive on the planet. They have thrived here for over 50 million years, outliving many predator species along the way.
Horses are masters of emotional intelligence and awareness. As prey animals they have honed their senses and learned to adapt to their environment. They have a great deal to teach us.
We partner with horses to fully engage in their world (nature) and in the process, learn a great deal about ourselves and our way of being. Horses sense incongruence and therefore become our perfect mirrors, showing us truths that provide self-awareness, clarity, and freedom.
This work is done from the ground, and no previous horse experience is required.
What is Reiki?
We have been aware of life force energy here on the planet for millennia. Ancient cultures call it Chi, Ki or Prana. It animates and gives life to all living things. When this life force energy is blocked or depleted, we feel run down and are less able to fight off illness and stress.
Reiki is a means of mindfully accessing and channeling this life force energy to help rebalance energy and enable the body to rebalance itself to function more healthfully. Reiki promotes natural relaxation which enables the body to more effectively heal itself and function more efficiently. It is safe to use on infants, the elderly, the infirmed, and animals.
Reiki focuses on the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. The practitioner uses her hands to help the client rebalance or unblock energy. The hands are placed systematically from head to foot, on both sides of the body.
