Happy Nurses Week! 👩⚕️❤️
This week, we are so excited to celebrate and highlight the wonderful nurses we are incredibly lucky to have as part of our family here at The Orchards! Our nurses are the heart and soul of our community, the ones who show up every day with compassion, dedication, and love for our amazing residents.
First up is our very own Kelly Switzer, our Wellness Director!
We asked our nurses a few fun questions so you can get to know them a little better beyond the scrubs, because behind every great nurse is an even more amazing person. Here’s Kelly!
How long have you been a nurse? 28 years
What inspired you to become a nurse? I spent a lot of time in the hospital myself and thought I could provide compassionate care from a perspective of someone who has been there.
How long have you been a part of our Orchards family? Less than a year, however I have worked in homecare and assisted living for the past 10 years!
What is your favorite part of working with our residents at The Orchards? I love hearing their stories and spending one on one time with them.
What is one thing families might not know about you? I just became a grandma to a sweet baby boy, Owen!
