I was honored to co-present with Dr. Radhika Dani on psychological factors that underlie hate crimes at the 3rd Annual Hate Crime Forum sponsored by Dallas Police Department Community Affairs. The DPD Community Affairs division works tirelessly to offer content that heals our communities, which aligns perfectly with our mission at Chrysalis Community to promote healing, connection, and kindness. Thank you Dr. Chen Yuan for the impactful work you and your team do for all of us!

It was truly a profound honor to co-lead a workshop with and for the Dallas Police Department and other front line community helpers. We hopefully imparted some knowledge, but much more impactful was what we learned about the heart, courage, and grit the officers and first responders pour into our communities to keep them safe and served.

Chrysalis Center is honored to be facilitating Understanding Emotional Regulation for Families at Westlake Academy this week.

Because we believe growth happens in connection, and that the way we treat ourselves shapes the way we show up in our families and communities, we’re partnering with their K–12 community to offer practical, developmentally attuned tools for emotional understanding and regulation.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with local schools and invest in the mental and emotional wellbeing of the next generation.

We are learning and gaining so much as we engage new modalities with these brave women who have undergone so much, and who don't often have access to mental health care and psychosocial support. Thank you to the team for the courage and creativity to play in new spaces!

Dr. Dodd finds the intersection of different domains of research and clinical experience to be the place of greatest creativity for him. He was honored to contribute to a wonderful journal article on the value of a psychoanalytic lens on sport.

These two domains of study and practice often do not intermingle but I believe there is tremendous potentiality in their integration.
