Our residents here at Southlake absolutely LOVE coffee! So what better way to celebrate this shared passion for the perfect brew than with a club dedicated to their favorite drink?

From exploring the rich history of coffee to enjoying the wonderful aroma and tasting a variety of blends, our Lakeside Coffee Club has been an amazing experience for everyone involved.

Whether it’s bold, smooth, or sweet — every cup brings smiles, stories, and a warm sense of community. ❤️

🌍✈️ Nexus Leisure Adventure Travel Club Takes on Germany! 🍺🥨

What an un-beer-lievable adventure we had this week! Our virtual travels took us all the way to Germany, and wow—did we have fun!

🍻 We sipped on delicious German beer (cheers to that!)
🍪 Sampled some tasty German biscuits—wunderbar!
📚 Learned all about Germany’s charming culture, traditions, and stunning scenery

The best part? Some of our residents shared their real-life adventures in Germany—one even lived there! Their stories had us smiling, laughing, and dreaming of castle views and cobblestone streets.

We had an absolute blast on this fun-filled virtual getaway, and we’d love for you to join us next time!

Our Gardenview residents had a blast playing co****le today! This fun and exciting game always brings out big smiles, friendly competition, and lots of laughter as they aim to toss the bean bags into just the right spot.

They truly enjoy every moment — and we love seeing their energy and enthusiasm!

We had an incredible time celebrating our Annual Fall Festival with our wonderful Residents and their families! From delicious State Fair-style food and snacks to the adorable Petting Zoo, it was a day filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories.

⚓ Columbus Day Adventures with Nexus Leisure Adventure Club! 🌍

We may be a little late with this post, but the spirit of adventure is right on time! This Columbus Day, the Nexus Leisure Adventure Club set sail—figuratively—on a journey alongside “Captain Columbus” himself to the so-called “West Indies.” 😉

Dressed in our best explorer outfits, we reenacted the voyage with plenty of laughter, playful mischief, and a whole lot of imagination. From navigating uncharted “seas” to chuckling at Columbus’ legendary shenanigans, it was a voyage to remember! 🗺️😂

To top it all off, we indulged in delicious Spanish cookies as we shared stories and celebrated the spirit of exploration, curiosity, and camaraderie.

Here’s to adventure, discovery, and making history fun—no matter the date! ⚓✨

🎃🌸 Nexus Residents Fall Adventure! 🌸🎃

We had such a wonderful time exploring the Heritage Botanic Garden! The pumpkins were amazing, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and the fall colors made for a perfect day out. 🍁🌼

On our way home, we even stopped by Sonic for a refreshing cold drink — the perfect way to wrap up a beautiful day! 🥤😊

🎃 Pumpkin Picking Fun with Our Nexus Service Club Residents! 🍂

Our Nexus Service Club residents had an amazing time picking out the perfect pumpkins for our neighborhood porches and upcoming Fall Festival! 🎉 From sorting through beautiful pumpkins to laughing at the spooky Halloween decorations, it was a day full of fun and fall spirit. 👻🧡

And of course, no outing is complete without a treat — we stopped by Sonic for some refreshing drinks on the way home! 🥤✨

We can’t wait to see our porches all decked out for the season! 🍁🎃

💜 Honored to Participate in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – NE Tarrant County! 💜

We were truly honored here at Southlake to be asked to participate in the opening ceremonies of this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Our Nexus Residents joined us as we proudly sang God Bless America.

During the Flower Ceremony, our Nexus Resident Rhonda held the Blue Flower, representing someone living with Alzheimer’s, and our Assistant Director of Health Services Freda held the Yellow Flower, representing someone caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the walk and to those who came out to support this important cause. Special thanks to Freda, Adriana, Jennifer, and Amber for joining us in the opening ceremonies. Your participation means the world! 💜
