Worried about hearing damage from your headphones? Here's what you need to know!

Blasting your top 50 at full volume, streaming white noise to focus, or bingeing podcasts on a long flight. Does that sound familiar?

You've probably heard that wearing headphones can be harmful to your hearing, right?

No need to stress. You can absolutely enjoy your favorite tracks through your headphones. There are just a couple of things to keep in mind.

It all comes down to two key factors:
🔊 Volume
⌚️ Listening time

There’s even a simple rule for it:
The louder the sound, the shorter the safe listening time.

For example, listening more than 40 hours per week at 80 dB can put your hearing at risk. And every 3 dB increase cuts that safe time in half.

So go ahead and enjoy your music or podcast. Just do it in moderation.
Kind of like your favorite glass of wine. 😉

Summer’s here, and your hearing aids need a little extra care.

It’s that time of year for backyard drinks, park picnics, and cooling off by the water. Sounds perfect, right?

But while you’re soaking up the sun, your hearing aids are working overtime. Heat, sweat, water, and sunscreen don’t always play nice with delicate technology.

Here’s how to keep your hearing aids safe and sound this summer:

🌞 Keep them out of direct sunlight
Avoid leaving your devices on hot surfaces or in full sun. High temperatures can damage the internal components.

🌞 Be mindful around water
Going for a swim or rinsing your face? Take your hearing aids out first. Even a quick splash can cause serious damage.

🌞 Sunscreen first, then hearing aids
Let your sunscreen fully soak in before popping in your devices. That way, you avoid sticky residue sneaking into the mics and tubing.

🌞 Clean more often when it’s hot
Sweaty day? Warm summer night? Give your hearing aids a good clean and let them dry out completely.
