*As a reminder, whole, real food is always best. But sometimes we have body composition goals that require us to focus on protein, and most delicious protein foods are also rich is deliciously healthy fats. If you are going to consume a protein powder, make sure it's the best one*

Had someone come out to quote some housework today. He said he would send quotes to Rob, and asked how soon we wanted to move forward. I said, "I don't know! Ask the boss." The contractor responded, "I thought you were the boss."

Here's the thing. Rob RUNS our home. But I keep the home running. So subtle, so much overlap, but two different things. Neither better than the other, neither can be taken for granted. Why I am sharing this? Because healthy relationships are a part of your overall health! And life is too short to be unhappy. Life is not perfect. Two people who stay together long enough are going to have bumps. But bumps aren't a good enough reason to be a jerk to your partner or your friends. How often have you stopped and thought, "why am I being mean to someone I care so much about?" I don't have time to be mean. I just want to enjoy our time together, and build each other up. Happy Healing.

For the longest time, our house was bread free. And honestly still is sometimes. I refuse to buy bread in the store. I literally won't do it, knowing my 3 year old will want to have some. Knowing it's heavily processed, loaded with sugar. Or if not. It's loaded with so many seeds and grains that block the absorption of critical nutrients her little body needs. So now I make sourdough at home. Just 4 ingredients - water, flour, salt, and a little olive oil from . We use organic flour from , which is well known to be bleach and bromate free (yep, most breads have bleach - no, not a form of bleach that's edible and safe - just bleach), and they use a slow milling process.

Learning to make sourdough has been quite an effort. Thankfully I stumbled on the second time I decided to really try it, and kept me motivated too! (The sandwich bread is amazing - but I decreased the amount of sugar and use coconut sugar). But I know my little girl is growing up seeing that food, even bread, takes work. That it's a labor of love. That I do it because I enjoy it. Enjoy knowing I'm giving her literally the cleanest bread I can. We are still animal based, for sure. We never start our morning with bread - it's only allowed (with heavy amounts of butter!) after a breakfast of ruminant meat. But gosh I'm so thankful for social media SPECIFICALLY so I could learn and tweak, and ask questions from women who have been doing the same in their homes. And yes, it's absolutely delicious!

42! Another year around the sun, full of growth. More calm, more peace, more joy. More meat, more muscle, better skin, better hair. Less sugar, less processed foods, less inflammation, less pain. I like aging!!! I feel better at 42 than I did in most of my 20s!

Well since I'm already offending people... I say that in jest. My previous post wasn't meant to offend anyone, but to inform. And unfortunately it has highlighted some closed minded opinions (both liberal and conservative alike), and even provided a bit of libel. However, I believe in our constitution, which includes free speech. And even though it's my personal platform and I have the right to delete certain comments, I'd rather hold up my beliefs and integrity. My goal in life is not to have millions of blind followers. So in the name of being offensive for my beliefs, a constitutional right I hope to continue to hold under future leaders, I choose to serve the Lord.

Sorry not sorry.

6 years ago, today was a Friday. It started like any other day. You woke up and went to work. Chatted at patients, got people adjusted and feeling better for the weekend. I woke up, enjoyed the morning off from a job I hated, fed the dogs. Took the morning slow. Then you got off work, we drove a bit. And then we got married. Just me and you. And here we are, 6 years later, and life is soooo different. But you and me? We're still the same two people we were when we fell in love.

Sure, the office has changed a bit. I quit that horrible job and now have a totally different career. We sadly only have one dog now. But we gained a kiddo! And damn if that spunky, sassy, silly, STRONG willed child isn't the best thing ever. Can't imagine life without her! We found a house that has become our home. We have tweaked our nutrition and prioritized working out. We've mourned family. We've celebrated marriages, celebrated babies. And there's been so much more just completely jam packed in these 6 years, but you and me? We are still us, and I love you. Happy Anniversary, Hubs!

I don't talk as much on here about my deep, deep love for dogs (and wolves). Those that have been around a while know that I've had two corgis (sadly both have passed), and the infamous River Tam! For anyone curious, River is a rescue, but per her DNA test she is half German Shepherd, 1/4 Lab, 1/4 Husky. 100% beautiful, strong, PATIENT love of mine. So... Why this book?

Because as much as I can talk about human nutrition, I'm not certified and definitely not an expert in canine health. Although... it's not terribly different from humans, to be honest! But this book is right up the NTA, Weston A Price, Primal, Paleo, Ancestral, Holistic Health alley. So if you care about your dog (or future dog), and his or her longevity and living optimally, this book is for you! My baby is my baby, just like Lo. Sure one is birthed, but I have four human kids. Does it matter that I didn't birth all of them? NO. They are still mine. And so is River Tam. So I owe it to her to give her the best life I can.

Welcome!

Hey There, I'm Tiffany!

When you've suffered from chronic symptoms for as long as I have, you start to question whether or not you've been doing the right things. Maybe your allergies keep getting worse. Maybe that gut issue used to flare once in a while, but now it's all the time. Maybe your migraines keep you away from your kids, your family, your friends - keep you from doing things you love.

You DON'T have to live that way. You can take your health back. And I can help you. I'm a certified Functional Nutrition Therapy Practitioner (FNTP), a Whole30 Certified Coach, and an Oncology Nutrition Consultant in training. I sat exactly where you are at today. Maybe your symptoms are different than mine, but the decision is the same. Let me help you focus on fixing root cause, instead of being one more restricting band-aid.

As an Functional Nutritionist, I'm a firm believer in a holistic approach to healing. Working with me means you receive individualized assessments completely unique to you and your body, and we'll work together to design nutrition and lifestyle recommendations aimed at helping your body heal from the inside out. There's no standard recommendation or cookie cutter approach. My goal is to identify how to best support you to meet your health goals, and educate you on how to take your health back! I take clients local to me in Southlake, TX and surrounding areas, but I also offer online services for anyone that isn't local!
