“I broke my femur in June 2022 while in South Korea and had surgery to repair it with a metal rod. I was non-weight-bearing for over a year and a half. When I got home, another orthopedic doctor told me my knee replacement was broken and couldn’t be fixed.

I went to my primary care physician, PA Dylan Way, who had met Dr. Runner and said, ‘He’s a new guy in town doing great work.’ I went to see him, and he took one look at my X-rays and said, ‘I can fix it.’

On October 4, 2024, he replaced my knee and removed the rod from my femur. Now I can walk, work three days a week at our neighborhood food pantry, and do what I need to do.

I swear by Dr. Runner. Other doctors told me if they touched my knee, I’d lose my leg. But he fixed it. It wasn’t easy, but I’ve had nothing but satisfaction since. Anytime someone mentions knee surgery, I recommend him. He wasn’t the first orthopedic doctor I saw, but he’s the one who helped me.

I can walk and move—just have to be careful not to fall. I don’t need a cane or assistance, and I’m almost 100%, thanks to him.” – Charlotte

Russell was once told he was too young for a left knee arthroplasty—but there’s no age limit on getting your life back. With Dr. Runner’s help, he’s back to doing what he loves.
