Interpreter led him into a room which was full of dust, because it was never swept.

Interpreter called for a man to sweep the room, but when he did, the dust began to fly and Christian began to choke and could not see anything. Interpreter told the man, “Bring some water and sprinkle the room.”

All at once the dust had cleared and the dirt was mopped up easily. “This room,” said Interpreter, “is the soul of a man clogged with the dust of sin. If he tries to clean up his own life, it only becomes worse.

But see how the gospel perfectly cleans the soul.”

Whether we are wrestling with sin, worthiness, or pain and suffering, Christ is our greatest healing salve. The bitterness of sin brings the sweetness of Jesus.

The Lord has called us to partner with Him in ways that the world does not always recognize as "ministry." We meet brothers and sisters who are enduring and walking their paths amid pain and suffering. Some of it is physical, but much of it is emotional and spiritual. Initially, we felt a strong urge to lay hands and pray for healing, but over time, the Lord has revealed to us who the Great Physician truly is.

Nothing can replace Him. No man can pretend or disguise himself as Him. A child recognizes their father's voice, face, and gaze. While we serve our Father through this office, something greater is working through our Father, our Great Physician. He provides a healing salve that many desire and all need.

By grace, we are saved—through our faith alone.

If you are suffering, in pain, or wrestling with God, submit your ways to Him, and He will make your path straight. Rest in His grace. Sit at the table He has prepared for you, a worthy child of God, and partake in the heavenly meal. His presence surrounds us, His grace flows like deep waters.

Psalm 62: 1-2, 5-7
1 For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken...
5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.

What does Jesus have to do with our business? EVERYTHING.

Without Him, we would have nothing. He is our Lord, our Savior, and the owner of the practice. We, along with all of our staff, just serve as ministers to the work He calls us to.

Is Jesus even for atheists, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus? YES.

We have had all of them come to the office, see His name all over, hear music praising Him, and even allow us to pray for them. In many cases, we have had wonderful opportunities to share the Gospel with them.

Jesus, this is all for you!

Great faith trusts in Jesus' healing power and His Word. St. Paul in Hebrews 6 urges us to go beyond basic teachings of our faith, such as laying hands for healing, to see past the physical, recognizing the greater glory behind it.

Every patient we encounter is created in God's image. Let us lay hands and pray for them not just for outward change, but for inner renewal that glorifies our Father in heaven.

Heavenly Father, help us recognize Your greater works and movements in our patients' lives. Grant us the eyes and ears to perceive them as You do.
