✨ Knee pain relief — instantly! ✨
This client came in with sharp, random medial knee pain that would flare up when bending or going down stairs. It even woke him up at night. His knee felt tight and restricted, and stairs were a struggle.

After today’s session, he walked out pain free — even after testing squats and getting on and off a stool! 🙌 The only thing left was a little residual soreness from where I worked on the tissue.

We finished by applying KT tape to help promote recovery, ease soreness, and add gentle stability — and he loved it! He couldn’t believe how much better he felt right away.

🎯 We’re certified in RockTape application and offer it as part of our recovery services.
If you’ve been dealing with stubborn pain or tightness — book now to experience real relief and faster recovery. 💪

07/01/2024

Myofascial release (MFR) is a manual therapy treatment that involves specifically guided low load, long duration manual pressure to manipulate the myofascial system. It is used to restore optimal length in the tissue, decrease pain, and improve function. Myofascial release performed by a therapist promotes recovery in the damaged area of the muscle and reduces inflammation and edema, and when used in conjunction with conventional treatment is said to be effective with providing ̲𝒊̲𝒎̲𝒎̲𝒆̲𝒅̲𝒊̲𝒂̲𝒕̲𝒆 relief of pain and tissue tenderness.

MFR can be used directly or indirectly. Direct MFR technique is done directly over the restricted fascia: practitioners use knuckles or elbow or other tools to slowly sink into the fascia, and the pressure applied is a few kgs of force to contact the restricted fascia, apply tension, or stretch the fascia. Indirect MFR involves a gentle stretch guided along the path of least resistance until free movement is achieved. The pressure applied is a few grams of force, and the hands tend to follow the direction of fascial restrictions, hold the stretch, and allow the fascia to loosen. MFR direct force stimulates fascial fibroblasts (fiber-rebuilders), as well as relieves indirect strains applied to nerves, blood vessels, the lymphatic system, and muscles.

MFR relies on the skill of the clinician and his or her ability to sense the changes in the tissue. ✨

This client is VERY tall and has always dealt with tight calves due to his athletic history and job demands. This picture shows MFR done to the right calf (top leg), with no treatment yet performed on the left (bottom leg). This treatment took no more than 10 minutes on the lower leg to achieve these results.

Please message me to 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 if you would like these same results. 😊

This client was a few weeks out after having liposuction done to both arms. She was so swollen that it was causing excruciating pain and discomfort. The “after” pic is after only 1 hour of MLD work.

Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) helps relieve swelling by moving lymph fluid from tissues back into the working lymph nodes. This can be helpful when swelling occurs due to illness or medical treatment that ends up blocking the lymphatic system from doing its normal job. MLD uses light pressure and a specific sequence to gently manipulate areas of the body, and allow congested lymph fluid to move through. MLD can help with an arrange of things, including:

• Pain management: MLD can help reduce pain by decreasing swelling and muscle fatigue. It can also help with muscle recovery and mobility
• Improved digestion: MLD can improve digestive health.
• Reduced stress: MLD can reduce stress, which can help with sleep quality.
• Faster recovery: MLD can help people recover more quickly from procedures like plastic surgery.

Your lymphatic system is working faster and harder than it was before your appointment, and will stay stimulated for the next 24-48 hours.

Book with me to achieve your goals and more relief, today!
