Khaterra is being recognized this month for her outstanding work, attitude, and passion at HHS Preston!
Khaterra started as a RBT at Help Hope Solutions in September of 2024, where she quickly established herself as a star trainee and go-getter. She is an energetic and adaptable group instructor, encouraging all kids to participate! Our BCBAs were recently extremely impressed with Khaterra’s ability to redirect a particularly rowdy group to all sit and read a story at the end of a long day. Khaterra has also stepped up as an organized and helpful classroom assistant, creating a calm environment to facilitate clients learning classroom readiness skills. Finally, last month Khaterra went above and beyond in taking initiative to cleaning the clinic. Her initiative and willingness to help has coworkers and supervisors sharing their appreciation and praise. We are very proud and thankful for Khaterra Dangerfield!

We are thrilled to recognize Ali as our RBT of the Month for May at our Windcom location! Although Ali has only been with us for two short months, his impact has been anything but small. From day one, Ali has demonstrated a deep passion for working with our clients and has shown true commitment. As a trainee, he has shown exceptional dedication to learning, growing, and applying ABA principles with care and enthusiasm. He approaches every training opportunity with focus and intention, actively participating and asking thoughtful questions to ensure he fully understands each client’s programs, protocols, and individual needs.
Ali is now nearing the end of his training, and the progress he has made amazes us. He has quickly become confident in running sessions independently and consistently receives outstanding feedback. One of the many things that sets Ali apart is the authentic joy and energy he brings to every session and the center. Whether he’s delivering reinforcement, running programs, or supporting a client through a difficult moment, Ali maintains a high level of engagement and positivity that never wavers. Ali always rises to the occasion by increasing his enthusiasm, adjusting his approach, and finding creative ways to keep clients motivated and smiling through those difficult times.
He has even gone the extra mile by purchasing highly preferred reinforcers for his clients, showing just how deeply he cares about their individual preferences and progress. His ability to build strong, supportive relationships with clients and staff members in such a short time is nothing short of impressive. Beyond his clinical work, Ali is also a standout team member. He consistently leads by example with a positive attitude, a willingness to help others, and a genuine love for the work we do. He has quickly become a role model for newer trainees, and his effort, commitment, and compassion have not gone unnoticed.
Ali, we are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished in such a short time, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes you. Your future here at Windcom is bright, and we’re lucky to have you on our team. Congratulations, Ali! 🎉

The Windcom office is excited to recognize Brooke as our RBT of the Month! Brooke brings incredible energy and engagement to her sessions, and her clients thrive under her care. She consistently creates a positive, motivating environment and goes out of her way to support her team.
Brooke is known for being flexible and helpful—always willing to move her sessions when someone is working alone. She also goes the extra mile to support new staff, helping them get settled and feel confident in their roles. In her 1:1 session, she handles challenging behaviors calmy and remains neutral, which sets a great example for others.
In group settings, Brooke shines— stepping in to lead big kid group with confidence and actively supporting the lead in little kid group by redirecting behaviors and staying highly engaging throughout activities. Brooke is such a great asset to the team, and it does not go unnoticed. We knew she would be a great RBT when she first became a member of the team! She was SO easy to teach and very quick to learn.
Thank you, Brooke, for your dedication, hard work, and compassion for our clients. We’re lucky to have you—congratulations on being our RBT of the Month!

This autism awareness month we find ourselves in a middle of an unsettling discourse regarding the autism impact on someone.
The reality of it is some autism symptoms are DEBILITATING for both the autistic individuals and their families. Yes it is true that for some autistic individuals this is not the case and that is great!
But to argue that those symptoms who make one so aggressive that their family fears for everyone’s safety or those symptoms that make one hurt themselves so badly that they have open gashes on their bodies should not be changed to make someone’s life better is cruel and inhumane.
For those who live with debilitating symptoms of autism - I am sorry! I am sorry that the community does not see your pain and does not join you in your quest to end the pain. As a professional, mother and human being I am with you and I am here for you. I will fight for you and with you! For those whose autism symptoms do not impact your daily living and make you unique and awesome - I’m here for you too! I’m here to tell you there is no need for fear. I guarantee you that nobody is trying to fix something that does not need fixing! There is not one professional in this world that will say - you have autism and you’re functioning with it but I want to change that anyway. For you I want you to know I am thrilled for you! I also hope that you gain the perspective taking skills to understand others pain even if you are not experiencing it.
I’m sending the entire autism community my love regardless of how impacted you are by your symptoms.

Windcom office is excited to announce the winner of RBT of the Month for March 2025:
SHONDRA JANSSON
Shondra has been a member of the HHS Windcom team since October 12th, 2023. Over this time, she has shown remarkable growth in her role as an RBT, demonstrating increased confidence, skill, and dedication to supporting the clients she works with. Her commitment to learning and improving has truly made her an asset to the team. Shondra stands out as an RBT due to her consistently helpful, calm, and sweet demeanor with all her clients. She creates a nurturing environment that allows her clients to feel comfortable and supported, always approaching each situation with patience and understanding. It does not go unnoticed that some of our more challenging kids are always the calmest and happiest with her.
Shondra has naturally stepped into a leadership role, consistently going above and beyond to support the team. She assists new staff members, sets up the lunchrooms, warms up client meals, prints data sheets when needed, and takes on many other tasks with a positive attitude, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her proactive approach and willingness to help wherever needed make her a valuable team member.
Shondra has consistently demonstrated exceptional support when challenging behaviors arise, always following behavior protocols to a T. She calmly grabs mats, finds high-preferred reinforcers to help deescalate situations, and ensures the environment remains safe for everyone. Additionally, without being asked, she has taken the initiative to repatch the wall in one of our therapy rooms, showing her dedication to maintaining a positive and functional space for both clients and staff. Her ability to handle these situations with professionalism and care truly sets her apart. We are all so proud of her and truly appreciate all that she does for everyone here at HHS-Windcom!
CONGRATUATIONS SHONDRA!!!
