"Not everyone wants to be saved.
I've seen it daily in practice: Patients swear they'd do anything to escape chronic pain, headaches, or misery... until the real work begins. Words are easy. Actions? That's where the truth shows up.
Some prefer drowning in old habits over change—even when a clear path to healing is right there.
As we say in Texas: All hat and no cattle.
True transformation happens when your actions match your words.
If you're ready to match yours and pursue real health, we're here. 💪

One of the hardest truths I've learned as a business owner (and as a doctor helping people reclaim their health):
No one is coming to save you.
Every win—building a practice, solving upper cervical issues, getting healthier—comes down to you figuring it out. Sometimes with a coach, mentor, attorney, or accountant. Sometimes just through grit, time, and experience.
The real key? Becoming brutally effective at solving problems. Not just in business or spine health, but across the board: marketing, team, finances, communication, habits, parenting… everything.
If you fix the problem → you win.
If you complain and stay stuck → you lose. Simple as that.
This plays out every day in health care. Patients say they're "committed" to getting well, changing habits, making this "the year." But when real discipline kicks in—showing up consistently, following through—they quit and default to excuses.
About 80% fade. The winners? They commit to solving the hard stuff.
The secret isn't complex solutions. Most problems just need discipline + commitment.

Want to lose weight? Cut sugar, alcohol, simple carbs.
Want to be a better parent? Turn off screens and truly tune in.
Want to reclaim your health? Suit up, show up, and follow the plan.

(As BJ Palmer would say: It's as simple as that.)
Discipline isn't sexy or shiny—it's boring, repetitive, and the opposite of what the world sells. But it's the difference between winning and just occupying space.
No one's coming to save you.
Get disciplined

Struggling with brain fog and constant fatigue? 😩 Feeling mentally sluggish, unfocused, forgetful, or just "off" — even after a full night's sleep?
You're not alone — and it might be more than just stress or poor sleep.
Brain fog often ties back to basics first:

Poor sleep quality
Chronic stress (which tightens your neck!)
Dehydration or caffeine crashes
Irregular nutrition

But if you've dialed those in and still feel foggy — especially with headaches, dizziness, neck tension, or symptoms that started after an injury — your neck alignment could be playing a big role.
The top two neck bones (C1 & C2) send constant signals to your brain for balance, focus, and energy. When they're misaligned, it can create nerve interference, extra tension, and that drained, unclear feeling.

Upper cervical care gently corrects C1/C2 alignment — no twisting or cracking — to reduce interference, ease tension, and help your body function better naturally.

If brain fog keeps coming back with these clues, it's time for a focused evaluation.
Track your symptoms for 1-2 weeks (sleep, stress, hydration, neck tension flares) and reach out — we're here in Southlake to help you get clear and energized again! 💪🧠

We all grew up hearing “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
But after 10 years in practice, I’ve learned the opposite is true for real, lasting health and success.
The small things matter deeply.
You don’t become an overnight success or failure—one decision, one habit, one choice at a time builds (or breaks) you over years.
Just like the mustard seed—the tiniest seed that grows into a mighty tree—it takes consistent nurturing, pruning, and care.
We each start with seeds: our mind, body, and soul.

Feed your mind fear → anxiety grows.
Feed your body inflammation → pain and disease take root.
Feed your soul anything but truth → restlessness follows.

Most people ignore the small stuff until the roots are shallow and the heat comes—they wither.
The “secret sauce”? Sweat the small stuff every day for the next 20 years: intentional thoughts, nourishing food, movement, truth-aligned choices.
That’s what turns a tiny seed into the strong, thriving tree you’re meant to be.
Sweat the small stuff… it’s the foundation of true health in mind, body, and soul. 🌱🌳
What small thing are you nurturing today?

The Silent Burden
Behind every polished post, highlight reel, and "perfect" life update... there's a hidden weight most people carry quietly.
We’ve mastered the art of curating highlight reels—selling the illusion that every day is epic, effortless, and enviable. But in chasing likes and validation, we’re burying the real human experience: the quiet struggles, the unglamorous days, the invisible loads.

The provider stressing over bills and security.
The mom worried about her kids' futures.
The couple fighting to keep communication alive.
The business owner wondering if they'll make it through the week.

These burdens aren't "like-worthy." They don't get hearts or shares. But they're real—and they're universal. Every single person you pass today is carrying something heavy they rarely voice.
The curated feed lies: Life isn't all dopamine highs and monumental wins. It's often dull, messy, underwhelming... and deeply human.
The real stories—the ones that matter—come from ordinary people living good, true lives without a spotlight.
Next time someone seems short, distracted, or overwhelmed, pause. Their "perfect" post might be miles from their reality.
A simple smile, a kind word, or just presence can remind them: You're not alone. Hope still exists.
Let's stop pretending and start seeing each other—the burdens and all.
What's one silent burden you've carried that social media never showed? Share below (or just reflect). ❤️

Is chronic stress a ticking time bomb in your life? ⏰💣
I ask every patient at Hope Upper Cervical: "Any significant stressors?"
Most brush it off... until the real ones pour out.
Our world has evolved—driving 70 mph while dodging distracted drivers, endless notifications, constant pressure—but our physiology? Not one bit.
That "subtle" stress triggers the HPA axis → chronic cortisol spikes → insulin resistance, belly fat, high blood pressure, brain fog, anxiety, depression, wrecked sleep, hormonal chaos, and more.
Sound familiar? It’s fueling the epidemic of obesity, chronic conditions, and meds in America.
The good news? Awareness is step one. Track it (wearables help), identify sources, eliminate what you can. Restore nervous system balance → reclaim your health naturally.
At Hope Upper Cervical, we help by addressing the root—misalignments that keep your autonomic system stuck in fight-or-flight.
Your body isn’t broken; it’s just responding to modern threats the old-school way.
Ready to defuse the bomb? Start by naming one stressor you're carrying today. 👇

"How do you celebrate your wins? 🎉
We’re wired to mark victories—birthdays, goals crushed, big games won—but the way we celebrate shapes everything that follows.
Too often, society says: Hit a milestone? → Booze, junk food, cheat meal.
But if you’re reclaiming your health, battling addiction, or building discipline… does that really serve you?
I’ve shifted my own approach:
No more using celebration as an excuse to slip back into old habits.
Instead, I follow a simple 24-hour rule:
Sit in the victory. Feel the pride. Reflect on the hard work paying off.
No sugar highs, no hangovers—just pure gratitude.
Then? Back to the pursuit of excellence the next day.
True freedom isn’t in the party—it’s in disciplined celebration that reinforces winning, not undermines it.
How you choose to celebrate matters.
Will you stack more wins… or flush progress down the drain?
Celebrate wisely. 💪

How often do you actually assess yourself?
Too many of us fall into the complacency trap — chasing comfort while quietly letting misery take the wheel.
Like the wise saying goes:
“The more you avoid discomfort, the more you make misery your master.”
Avoiding honest self-assessment? That’s a choice. And it leads straight to a life where you know you need to get better… but have no clue what or how.
Growth hits a brick wall when you’re trying to improve something you haven’t even clearly identified.
That’s why I do a quick, cold, honest check-in every single day on the 5 most important areas of my life:

My relationship with God
How I’m caring for myself (sleep, food, exercise, reading, what I consume)
How I’m loving and serving my wife
How I’m showing up for my children
How I’m stewarding my business

Start and end the day with this rundown. If something’s off — it immediately goes on my focus list.
Mistakes? Every. Single. Day.
But winners aren’t people who never fail… they’re the ones who refuse to stay there.
Commit to regular, truthful self-assessment.
Expose the misery, reveal the path, and watch complacency lose its grip.
Your time is too valuable to stagnate.
Assess honestly. Improve relentlessly. Leave an impact.
What’s one area you’re going to assess today? Drop it below 👇

Hard times aren't optional — they're inevitable.
The real question is: What will you DO with yours?
Most people turn their struggle into a competition: "Who has it the worst?"
They build the biggest sob story, gather a circus of supporters, and stay stuck in victim mode forever.
I refuse that path.
Your struggle might feel unique, but the burden comes for all of us.
The difference? Some let it destroy them. Others let it define them.
When you drop the victim identity and shoulder the cross with purpose, something shifts:
That heavy moment becomes fuel.
It deepens your roots.
It builds unbreakable resilience.
It catapults you into the next, stronger version of yourself.
Here’s the truth I live by:
People who master hard seasons don't just survive them — they start seeking hard things.
Because complacency is the real enemy.
If you're not moving forward, you're slipping backward.
So stop feeding the sob-story cycle.
Break the chains.
Write your own story of overcoming — then show the world how you did it.
Your hardest moment isn't the end.
It's the beginning of your greatest strength.
Which path are you choosing today?

“Let Me Just Try It Out” 💥
Talking with a friend about our kids’ sports, we realized something huge: Too many parents let kids quit the moment it gets tough or they don’t like the coach.
Not in our houses. Once you commit to the team, you show up—every practice, every game. Even if you’re the weakest player. Because the team counts on you.
This “try it out and quit” mindset is destroying a generation. It teaches that commitments don’t matter, discomfort is optional, and there’s always an easy out.
Curiosity is fine—shoot hoops at the park before joining a team, take an intro piano lesson. But once you COMMIT—verbally, emotionally, fully—there’s no quitting.
In my life: Once I go all in, I convince myself there are NO other options. 1 year or 20 years—I see it through.
“Let me just try it” = built-in escape clause. It means you’re already planning to quit when it gets hard. You’ll never transform because you never stay long enough.
Solution: Reduce options. Go ALL IN on at least 5 things this year. Say “I’m committed” instead of “I’ll try.”
Committed people take responsibility, push through, and WIN. That’s where real results and transformation happen.
Ditch the quitter mindset. Go all in—and watch your life change.
Who’s with me? 💪

The Like Button Society 🩸
Remember early Facebook? Simple connection for college kids—no ads, no doom-scrolling. Check once a day, done.
Then the "Like" button arrived: genius for them, disaster for us. It turned life into a popularity contest, training us to crave validation. Who liked it? Who didn't? We became addicted to notifications, scrolling past real depth, logging off from hard conversations.
We've lost touch with being truly human—trading purpose for dopamine hits.
“Every minute worrying about others' approval is a minute lost building your great life.”
Be honest: How much do you chase likes? If the algorithm shapes you, you'll end up with a hollow life dictated by trends.
The fix? Kill the like button in your world. Reclaim your identity:

Invest in yourself: challenging books, art, music.
Daily device-free walks in nature.
Tech-free weekends.
Master a skill requiring real focus & creativity.

Build discipline, character, independence—and live for who God created you to be.
I'm grateful we saw its rise. Hopeful for its fall.
Ditch the crutch. Your life will transform. 💪
What do you think—ready to break free?

🎉 Welcome to 2026! 🎉
Make Monday Great Again (MMGA) is officially ONE YEAR OLD.
I started this as my own therapy amid the world's chaos — sharing observations, wisdom, and truths I've been graced to discover.
Some of you read every post and shared them widely.
Some tuned in occasionally.
A few even unsubscribed because it sounded too "political" (haha — it's about reclaiming greatness in our lives, not slogans!).
No matter where you land, I'm truly grateful for YOU.
This journey stems from a promise I made when starting my practice: to help people heal in mind, body, and spirit.
2026? It's more of the same — disciplined growth, deep reading, contemplation, and sharing it all with you.
Now, turn the mirror on yourself:
What does YOUR 2026 look like?

What good habit will you COMMIT to maintaining?
What new habit will you START?
What bad habit will you finally QUIT?

Habits shape who we become — the wins are hard, the cuts are tougher, but they're everything.
Here's to a powerful start to 2026.
Let's keep making Monday (and every day) great — together.
What's ONE habit you're changing this year? Drop it below! 👇
