Not everyone is a candidate for this procedure. This is what it looks like when someone is.

This patient came in wanting a more defined neckline. What she had was a strong underlying structure with mild fullness under the chin, which makes her an ideal candidate for a submentoplasty.

In cases like this, we’re able to:

• Reduce the excess fat under the chin

• Contour the deeper structures

• Tighten the platysma muscle

All while relying on the skin’s natural ability to re-drape.

That last part matters.

In patients with more skin laxity, this same approach would not deliver the same result. That’s where a different procedure becomes the better option.
