Wow !!!! I posted this 2 years ago tonight when Cathy Rudder my nurse/friend and I were told by corporate executives and our government that we were no longer wanted or needed as if all our time, dedication and love for our patients and profession meant nothing. At that time i was not allowed to say what i was feeling or seeing. I was instructed to ”only speak to the science we give you”. Well Cathy and Marianne Adamo McCaffrey we have held our heads up high. We have struggled through so many obstacles and battles and have made many sacrifices. We have cried and laughed together but most of all we have continued to care for our patients the best way we know and that is with professionalism, respect, love and compassion. We may not be as financially secure as we once were but we are doing what we love and doing it together !!!!! I love you both so very much and am so grateful for both of you 😘😘😘

Wondering if I could ask for some input. I have been thinking about bringing a bereavement group and cancer support group to our community. The bereavement group would be for those who have lost someone they loved and of course the cancer support group would be for those affected by cancer either a person with cancer or someone who has a loved one with cancer. I have interactions with people on a daily basis dealing with both loss of loved ones and cancer. I have found that a lot of people feel alone, scared, and vulnerable and I think many would benefit from others in the same situation whether it be getting advice, support, or perhaps developing a bond with someone who have similar circumstances. I have been unable to find someone experienced in these groups to run them so I do not want to give up on these groups so I am thinking of trying to run them myself and see how they go. What I would like from you is some advice. If I were to start these groups, do you think the need is there too? What days and times do you think would benefit people the most? I know our weekends are usually busy so I was thinking mid week perhaps once a month for each group and perhaps in the evening but I do not want to interfere with dinner but also do not want it too late in the evening. Thinking either once a month on either Tuesday, Wednesdays, or Thursdays most likely around 7 pm and run about an hour. Any thoughts ?

So excited. Tomorrow is the first day Jeanine will be at the office to do her thermography. This is a learning experience for me as well. Cannot wait.
