“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.”

Last night, our community experienced an unimaginable tragedy, and words feel so small in the face of such pain. To all those affected — whether by loss, fear, or grief — please know that you are not alone. We mourn together, and we will heal together.

While the road ahead may seem long and uncertain, there is hope. In the darkest of times, we find strength in each other, and in the light that will eventually return. Let’s hold each other up, lean on one another, and take it one day at a time.

To the victims, their families, and all who are suffering right now, you are in our hearts, and we are here for you.

I had practiced barre for years before I finally listened to my sister .royster and took a class with , who worked closely with the late Esther Fairfax — daughter of Lotte Berk.

That class completely changed me, inside and out.

From the very first moment, something felt different. It calmed my nervous system in a way I didn’t expect — and at the same time, it was the most challenging class I’d ever taken.

I trained in this original method in 2022, retrained in 2024, and have continued to learn and deepen my understanding of this work ever since. Every time I return to it, I uncover something new — in the movement and in myself.

The more I practiced, the more grounded and empowered I felt. I became stronger, not just in my body, but in my sense of self. Living with rheumatoid arthritis means my body doesn’t always feel like a friendly place — but this work helped me reconnect and feel at home in it again.

Yes, my physique changed… but more importantly, I started to feel good in my body.

I’m so grateful to share this work with you. It’s truly something special.
