The last two years have been hard.
Lost my dad the same week I was trying to get my massage establishment open.
Emergency surgery two weeks later.
Oldest offspring graduated high school 5 days after surgery.
Working a full time job as a fire/ EMS dispatcher to keep the income flowing while I got my business going. Major changes in management in that space that completely altered the way we worked together as a team, and not entirely in good ways. All while I was out on medical leave.
Had to figure out how to actually run a business.
Had some challenges with finding a home for my studio these past 6 months. Went without an office for almost three months.
Left dispatching because the stress and schedule after 17 years on that job, while doing massage work, had just simply taken too much from me. Which meant the consistent, dependable income was gone.
Not to mention a lot of other personal life things on top of that.
And perimenopause. 🔥
I think the challenges are lightening up a bit.
I've found a good home with Harmony Spencer.
I'm drawing in some great clients. And I have been fortunate with those clients that have stuck with me through the struggles and cheering me on as I find my way.
My family and friends that have believed in me and brought me sunshine when things felt too heavy and dark.
My mom investing in my business to help it grow.
And now, I'm coming into a season of real growth and learning.
I've invested in some high quality tools to support healing and relaxation, and to help save my hands for the long run.
Call me crazy, but I've invested a lot of money to take a total of 3 multi-day classes in the next 6 weeks. I'm only required to take 24 hours of CEs in 2 years. I'll be taking 60 hours before February is over.
I'll be bringing back some incredibly powerful tools for healing.
TMJ/intra-oral work for jaw/ neck pain and migraines.
SMRT for deep therapeutic work without the deep-tissue pain. Fascia releases. Combining those with lymphatic support.
For the moment though, I'm just taking in the peace and the vibe of this space I call mine.
See you on the table.
