Be sure to have a pair of earbuds or headphones and be in a truly quiet space. I tried it with additional background noise and it does change your results. Very cool tool!

Think you or someone you know might have hearing loss? Schedule an appointment for a hearing evaluation with an audiologist (the good news for retirees: Medicare covers it if ordered by your physician!). Even if you are thinking to purchase OTC hearing aids, it is best to seek evaluation first to understand the type and severity of hearing loss. Contact Acadia Speech Therapy if you have questions about what to do. Although we do not evaluate hearing loss, we’re trained and happy to guide you in the right direction!
