February Training: SWHTAS CPR/AED training with SWHPD.
Training CPR/AED alongside your local police department is one of the most powerful ways to improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest in our community. Police officers are frequently the first to arrive on scene and serve as a critical link in the Cardiac Arrest Chain of Survival. By training and equipping our officers, we strengthen the entire emergency response system and directly improve outcomes for the citizens we serve. Great work today, Team!

🌞 Quietside Good Morning Program Coming Soon! 🌞

The Southwest Harbor Police Department is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Quietside Good Morning Program for residents of Southwest Harbor and Tremont.

This free and voluntary program is designed for senior citizens, adults with disabilities, and other vulnerable residents who live alone.

📞 How it works:
Monday through Friday, our officers and dispatchers will make a brief morning call to registered participants to check in and ensure they’re doing well. If we’re unable to reach someone, we’ll take additional steps to verify their safety.

📝 How to Sign Up:
Call the Southwest Harbor Police Department to provide your information or request a form to fill out. We’re happy to help get you registered.

This program is inspired by the successful “Good Morning Program” run by the Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Police Department, and we’re proud to offer a similar service to our community.

Talking Cardiac Arrest with Jon ! SWHTA crew, with members of the SWH FD and Tremont FD participated in a training on cardiac arrest scene management and crew expectations. Coordinated emergency response is critical during stressful emergency scenes. Thank you Jon and all who attended this valuable training.
