Another semester coming to an end with our RMU students. They take their boards on Monday/Tuesday and we wish them all the best of luck! It’s been so much fun watching them learn and grow. Dr Mendenhall has been great at teaching them and answering all their questions. And the patients have been great at helping them learn on them.

Shantell has been with Precision Vision now for 3 years. She is great at helping you choose out what frames will be best fit for you! She has been an optician for 14 years!
She has 2 kids and a couple crazy dogs. When she isn’t working she enjoys going camping and spending time with her family.

Journey is our newest full time optician. She has been with us since April 2025.
She brings a great energy to our office and will most likely be the one greeting you as you come in.
She is currently studying for her ABO certificate.
She is newly married and on her free time she likes to do anything outdoors. Rock climbing and long boarding are a few things she enjoys doing if she ever has a day off 😉

One of the New(ish) faces in the office is our office Manager Kara.
Kara is ABO certified and has been an optician for about 20 years! She has been with Precision Vision now for 1.5 years.
On her free time she enjoys camping, ice skating and watching hockey; whether is be at the Peake’s or at the Delta center she down to go to any hockey game. Go Mammoth!
She has 3 kids at home and loves spending time with them.

Some of you may have noticed some new faces around our office. I want to introduce the newest addition to the Precision Vision family; Dr. Rob Roden.
Dr. Roden graduated in 2018 and then went to Texas to do a residency for interocular diseases.
In 2019 he returned to Utah and attended BYU and graduated in 2023 with his bachelors in biochemistry.
Along with working here part time he also is the research director at Rocky Mountain University.
He has been married for 12 years and has been blessed with 4 kids.
He enjoys fitting patients in Multi focal contacts, treating genetic diseases and patients who have had a traumatic brain injury.
He also enjoys things outside of work, like running, playing Ice hockey and wrestling with his boys.
Dr Roden is a busy man! We are excited to have him on our team!
