Meet Michelle, Becci, Alyson, and Diane—four incredible sisters raised in Provo who all now work for Intermountain Health in Utah County. Born at Utah Valley Hospital and brought up in a family of ten, these women were taught to serve, support, and show up for others. Today, they carry those same values into their work as caregivers, managers, and team players.
Becci, practice manager at Spanish Fork Clinic was the first to join Intermountain 30 years ago and eventually helped bring each of her sisters into the fold. “I did talk each one of these beautiful women into working at Intermountain,” Becci said with a laugh. “And they’ve made me proud. I’ve loved I invited them.” Michelle, a medical secretary at the Merrill Gappmayer Family Medicine Residency Clinic, said, “I’ve told my kids I don’t know what my parents did to keep this family close, but I want that same thing for them.”
They’ve rallied around each other through family trials, supported one another at work, and even cleaned up a mess of nails left behind at a campsite “just because that’s what our parents taught us to do.” “Our parents taught us to work hard, finish what we start, and be someone others could be proud of,” said Alyson, a practice manager for orthopedics and sports medicine in Provo. While many siblings grow apart with time, these four women only grow closer. “Growing up with sisters like this, you learn to rely on them,” said Diane, a financial navigator at the Utah Valley Cancer Center. “Even though we don’t work in the same department, I know I can reach out. That’s powerful.”
Their story is one of sisterhood, strength, and service—proof that when family values meet a mission-driven workplace, amazing things happen.
