Veterans Day 2025 ~

In yoga, words are often tossed around about service — selfless service. But I never truly understood the meaning of selfless service until I began photographing human beings who have taken an oath to give their lives for others if called upon. I have also learned from veterans that service does not end when a uniform is retired. For many, the battle continues — quietly, on the inside. They need tools to process the enormity of the experiences they have carried.

As Dan Nevins so eloquently stated, “If I could ask you to do anything, it would be to invite a Veteran to yoga. It might just save their life.”

Although today is a day set aside to celebrate veterans, I am profoundly in awe of your courage, perseverance, and selflessness every day.
