According to the National Eye Institute
More than half of all Americans above the age of 80 have cataracts or have had surgery to remove cataracts.

We would like to welcome Dr. Samantha Calhoun to our practice.

Dr. Calhoun graduated from UAB where she received her doctorate degree in Optometry.
She has extensive training in ocular diseases, such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, dry eyes as well as trained in fitting specialty hard and soft contact lens.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Alabama Optometric Association (ALOA).

Dr. Calhoun is originally from Clanton, AL. She and her husband moved to the Mobile area after she graduated to be close to family. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading, hiking and visiting the beautiful local beaches.

She is available to new and established patients on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
