Of course we use organic Ceylon cinnamon sticks & organic ground Ceylon cinnamon because we want only the very best ingredients in our Elderberry syrup!

Cassia cinnamon is the most common form found in the grocery store but it's also higher in coumarin. Coumarin in high amounts may tax the liver in some people, especially if used daily or combined with other liver stressors. Cinnamon has many medicinal applications, but it's important to know which type of you're taking or recommending! 🙃
