Trellis Services Our mission is to enhance the lives of children with autism by providing individualized, child - and Trellis Services was founded in 2001 by Kathy Niager, Ph.D.

With over twenty years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, Dr. Niager embarked on a mission to establish Trellis as an innovative and progressive agency that provides comprehensive services for children with autism and related communication disorders. Building upon our foundation as a Maryland Autism Waiver provider, over the years Trellis has expanded its services to include consultative home-based therapy, early intervention and educational services, after school programs in three locations, outpatient speech, language, and occupational therapies, social skills programs, and individual counseling. By combining state-of-the-art facilities and highly trained and qualified professionals, Trellis has become a pioneer within the autism community in Maryland. It is our visionary spirit that has enabled us to transform Trellis into a well-established and well-respected agency, and it is our passion and dedication to providing the highest standards of care that continue to enable us to exceed our clients’ expectations.
