Today was Mavericks FIRST FULL day of Kindergarten and HE ROCKED IT 🤘🏼

First full day, and first full year - coming for all of it!

WE PRAYED HARD TO GET BACK TO THIS …Kindergarten! 📚🚌🖍️📓✏️

You’re going to shine in that classroom, make new friends, learn new songs, and become more of YOU!

Fun fact: the picture of Maverick and his teddy bear “Holly” - this bear was given to him by his first friend at Hopkins (her name is Holly). This bear has been with him every single day for every single thing through his treatment. And today he said goodbye to her as he went off to big boy school.

Maverick was sent to the Baltimore Ravens game last week and had the best time!

This was his first time being able to go to the stadium and watch the game in person, and he loved it!

He says “I can’t wait to go back and see my boy Lamar play, Flowers, and “Two Two” Derrick Henry 🏈😈

Truly humbled by the last two weekends in Deep Creek and Ocean City with the Just In Power Kids, Justin Berk, Meteorologist, and the ENTIRE trek team.

Gratitude is more than just saying “thank you” for the good things that come our way. It is a way of life, a constant recognition of blessings in both the big and the small. It is an attitude that drives our thoughts, words, and actions, shaping our perspective on the world. 🙏🏼❤️

COUNT ⬇️ for the Maryland Trek 2025 with Just In Power Kids! Kick OFF THIS WEEKEND 💪🏼

7 days, 329 miles hiking and biking from 3,000 Ft on the summit of Wisp Ski Resort to Ocean City (Inlet Beach) across Maryland. Each day a child will be honored that is part of the Just in Power Kids family.

AGAIN…329 Miles Hiking And Biking From Wisp To Ocean City and our Mighty Maverick kicks DAY ONE off 🫶🏼💛

Let’s do this!

To most people going to the beach may not be a big deal. It’s an every year reoccurrence that we often take family vacations on or just visit frequently.

To US, WE PRAYED HARD FOR THIS 🙏🏼🫶🏼

Last year, Maverick couldn’t be in the sun much. No beach, no lake, no pool, nothing really. Last weekend he went to OC, and he BEACHED HARD.

That’s right, HAPPY summer ☀️🍉😎

This morning was Mavericks follow up appointment at Johns Hopkins Children's Center to discuss his AMAZING scan results in further detail.

After that, he of course roamed the hallways to visit his friends. The nurses were in awe seeing him “tall, tan, and with his darker hair” they said. Making them laugh, playing pranks, and doing all of the things he does!

No more scans until October! Let’s keep summer’in! 💪🏼

The RESULTS ARE IN….⬇️

9 month CT and 9 month MRI scans are CLEAR!

Mavericks scar tissue is now untraceable as well with a note of UNREMARKABLE.

All checked in for his 9 MONTH MRI SCAN!

Maverick will be under anesthesia for a little under 3 hours to do his full body MRI and in recovery after.

Let’s get this going, let’s keep the positive prayers rolling, and let’s keep being GREAT 🙏🏼💪🏼
