Dividing Ridge Genealogy would like to congratulate Appalachian Memory Keepers on their 100k followers! Thank you for keeping the history and heritage of our mountains alive through stories, photos, documentaries, and more.

This morning, Appalachian Memory Keepers quietly passed a milestone we never imagined when this journey began…

One hundred thousand people who care about old homes, country churches, forgotten graveyards, dirt roads, family farms, and the stories of the mountain people who came before us.

When we founded Appalachian Memory Keepers as a registered nonprofit organization in 2017, it wasn’t about numbers. It was about sitting at kitchen tables, listening to elders, and preserving memories before they were lost forever.

Every like, every share, every comment, every message from someone saying “That was my granddaddy’s kind of place” or “I remember that way of life”…
That’s what built this community.

These 100,000 followers aren’t just numbers.
They’re neighbors, friends, descendants of the mountains, and people who simply love the spirit of Appalachia.

Because of you:

-Old stories are being preserved

-Forgotten homes are remembered

-Voices of elders live on

-And the history of our region continues to breathe

From the bottom of our hearts…
Thank you for helping us keep Appalachia’s memories alive.
