Great information!

You may have noticed, Sparta Police Department has implemented three Flock camera systems throughout the city.

These Flock cameras are license plate readers and provide real-time alerts and fast access to evidence. Flock Safety helps communities prevent crimes and identify potential threats.

If your license plate is linked to a wanted person, stolen vehicle, missing child, or any other crime, a notification will be sent to the on duty officer. This system is utilized by MANY agencies across the state and are shared between each other.

These cameras do NOT notify of traffic offenses.

🍎✨ Today, we had the honor of hosting our New Teacher Luncheon fo Sparta R-3 School District - welcoming the incredible educators who are joining our local schools this year! It was a joy to connect, share a meal, and show our appreciation for the important work they do.
