Before finding their local PX Docs, Leo’s family was facing some tough challenges. He struggled with major sensory issues that made every day unpredictable, and his speech was delayed, which only added to their concerns. He also struggled with eating, and there were days when it felt like he just wouldn’t eat anything at all. ❌

His mom shared, “We felt helpless. We were constantly worried about his eating and his speech delays. Our pediatrician kept telling us he’d grow out of it, but deep down we knew we couldn’t just brush it off.”

They tried speech and feeding therapy, but progress was slow. That’s when they found their PX Doc. At first, the results of Leo’s neurological scans were confusing—but the doctors took time to walk his parents through them. Suddenly, everything clicked. His struggles made sense, and for the first time, they felt like they were on the right track.

The real turning point came once care began. Leo’s sensory challenges started to ease, and he began trying to use more words. His meltdowns became less intense, and he seemed less tense and overwhelmed throughout the day. And while eating is still a work in progress, he’s now eating at least 1–2 meals a day—a huge step forward! 🙌

Today, Leo is thriving. He’s learning his ABCs, numbers, and animals, and most importantly, he’s a happy, active toddler.

“Our entire family was dealing with significant neurologic struggles…” 😣

Chronic daily headaches. Dysautonomia. Night terrors. Meltdowns. Anxiety. Poor coordination.

“For myself and our youngest, Adley, the NS symptoms were severe. After a traumatic birth and developing long-haul COVID, my daily headaches were debilitating. 1 in 31 children now has autism. Too often, conventional medicine reduces autism to a label to be medicated. But at The Haven Chiropractic, we approach each child as a whole person and customize care to meet their needs, regardless of where they fall on the spectrum.

We've seen incredible transformations through neurologically-focused care. Children who were "Level 3" were becoming verbal. Kids who were "Level 2" were learning to self-regulate. Families getting their child back when everyone said, "This is just how it will always be."

For children at Levels 1 and 2, targeted chiropractic adjustments and nervous system stimulation strengthen communication between the brain and body. As the nervous system comes into balance, we see positive changes in social skills, behavior, cognition, and emotional regulation. For those at Level 3, we advocate for access to communication support in addition to chiropractic care. “Why is this happening? When will he make progress? Will he be able to have a normal life? Will we ever hear his sweet voice again?” 😟

This is what was racing through Mom, Jacqui’s, mind when her beautiful son Luke started regressing at about 13 months. He had completely stopped talking. He stopped making eye contact, was often inconsolable, had a hard time sleeping, had many sensory challenges, and wasn’t connecting well to others.

It was an extremely difficult time for Luke and his family. But being the powerhouse family that they are, they went all in on getting Luke the help he would need to continue progressing again and heal to his fullest potential. 💪🏻

And Mom said what had the biggest impact in their life was having Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic on their side. 

Mom said, “Luke was in EL and getting therapies there right alongside chiropractic, but chiropractic has been our #1 tool the whole time.” It helped Luke progressively calm and retrain his nervous system so that his body could start connecting and healing on a deeper level.

She said, “I knew it was working when we started to be able to get back some of the parts of our life that were taken away when he slipped away from us. Eye contact, being able to calm down, and regulate. But most especially when he started talking again!!!” 🎉

She vividly remembers Luke saying his first words again, in the office right after an adjustment, and everyone was blown away with excitement. And very soon after, he was able to speak again!

And as his journey continued, Luke kept making positive steps forward. 🙏

Now, at 10 years old, Mom says, “Luke is healed to a degree that I wasn’t sure we would ever get to.
